Events on my radar — 8 items
Name	Event	My take
EFG London Jazz Festival	EFG London Jazz Festival	Ten days, every genre bleeding into the next — block out at least one Barbican night, you won't regret it!
Lord Mayor's Show	Lord Mayor's Show	Free, loud, absolutely chaotic logistics-wise — I'm there purely to steal crowd-control notes for work.
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland	Hyde Park Winter Wonderland	Go on a weekday afternoon in week one or you'll hate humanity by the big wheel queue.
Van Eyck: The Portraits	Van Eyck: The Portraits	Every surviving van Eyck portrait in one room — book early, this one's going to sell out its slots fast.
Nan Goldin: You Never Did Anything Wrong	Nan Goldin: You Never Did Anything Wrong	Hayward always nails the lighting for photo shows — bringing tissues, this one's a gut-punch.
Vanessa Bell & Duncan Grant: Inside Bloomsbury	Vanessa Bell & Duncan Grant: Inside Bloomsbury	They've rebuilt the Charleston studio inside Tate Britain apparently — dragging the gallery crew along for this one.
Skate at Somerset House	Skate at Somerset House	Prettiest rink in the city, hands down — go for a late evening session when the courtyard glows.
London Art Fair	London Art Fair	Already in my diary for the new year — Islington in January means art world kicks off properly again.
