My spreadsheet brain cannot resist a good shelving system, so this is the running tab of every London bookshop that's derailed a Saturday or an entire lunch break. E17 reppin' with Public Knowledge Books but honestly I'll go to Zone 1 for the right shop. Bring a tote, you'll need it!!

2Brick Lane Bookshop	166 Brick Lane, London E1 6RU	London	Proper community institution, their short story prize is a lovely touch. Always a good browse.
3Libreria	65 Hanbury Street, London E1 5JP	London	Tiny and glowy, zero phone signal by design apparently. Great for a 20 minute reset mid-event-day.
4Gay's the Word	66 Marchmont Street, London WC1N 1AB	London	UK's oldest LGBTQ+ bookshop, genuinely moving browsing the history shelves. Bring cash for the window stickers.
5Word on the Water	Regent's Canal Towpath, Granary Square, London N1C 4LW	London	A book barge!! Drag a date here, it's basically a cheat code for romance. Check they're open before the trek.
6Daunt Books Marylebone	83-84 Marylebone High Street, London W1U 4QW	London	The stained glass makes it a bit of a flex location for a book gift. Travel section is unmatched.
