Structural engineering taught me that load paths matter more than facades, and that applies to arenas too (a building is only as good as how it moves 18,000 people to the bathroom at halftime). This is the short list of places I'll leave a half-finished tile job in Gowanus for, ranked by vibe, sightlines, and whether I can get a beer without missing a play. Board games still win most nights, but these get me off the couch.
