Right, so this started as a note on my phone during a dull Luas ride and it's now a full tab of its own, honestly. Nine sites I actually go back to, cross-referenced against opening hours like they're quarterly filings because apparently that's just who I am now. Heads up, 71% of these you can do on foot from town in one Saturday if your knees are good and the rain holds off, which, let's be honest, is maybe a 40% chance in this city on any given weekend.

GPO, General Post OfficeO'Connell Street Lower, Dublin 1, D01 F5P2Dublin1818Still a working post office, which is wild, honestly, 0% theme-park about it, just bullet-pocked pillars and queues for stamps.
Christ Church CathedralChristchurch Place, Dublin 8, D08 TF98Dublin1030, rebuilt from 1172Nearly 1,000 years old and the crypt still smells like cold stone, honestly 10 out of 10 for atmosphere.
Kilmainham GaolInchicore Road, Kilmainham, Dublin 8, D08 RK28Dublin1796Book ahead or you're queuing for nothing, like, 0% chance of walk-in spots most days. Stonebreakers' Yard will wreck you quietly.
Dublin CastleDame Street, Dublin 2, D02 XN27Dublin13th century, rebuilt after 1684 fireCheck the OPW page before you go, access has been patchy this year so don't bank on the State Apartments being open.
