Right, so Lamine Yamal is EVERYWHERE this week and I'm not sorry about it, honestly. World Cup winner, Euro winner, Ballon d'Or nominee at 19, and he just put up a 5-2 away day at Betis that had me checking stats on my lunch break like a woman possessed. I've laid out the percentages that actually matter because a 69% possession stat tells you more than any pundit ever will. Pure spreadsheet comfort food for a Sunday, like.

Lamine Yamal numbers this week — 9 items
Name	Milestone	Detail	Figure	My take
1Betis away masterclass	Goal and assist vs Real Betis, Oct 17 2026	1 goal, 1 assist, 6 successful take-ons in a 5-2 win at La Cartuja	8.7 Sofascore rating	First player to post those numbers in La Liga since Messi in 2017, honestly, 0% surprised at this stage
2Nine straight wins	Barcelona's best ever LaLiga start	Nine wins from nine matchdays, matching Real Madrid's 1968-69 record	27 points from 27	100% return so far, like, the table doesn't lie and neither do I
32025-26 season haul	Career-best campaign for goal contributions	25 goals and 20 assists across club and country in 2025-26	45 goal contributions	Crossed 20 goals for the first time ever, so that's your quarterly growth sorted
4World Cup champion	World Cup winner with Spain, July 19 2026	Started all 8 matches, 615 minutes, 1 goal, as Spain beat Argentina 1-0	7.2 average match rating	Not flashy on paper but the medal weighs the same, like
5Youngest double winner	Euro 2024 and World Cup 2026 double	First teenager in football history to win both tournaments	Age 19 at both triumphs	Two major trophies before most of us finish our pharmacy exams, deadly
6Ballon d'Or nominee again	Shortlisted for 2026 Men's Ballon d'Or	Named among the top contenders alongside Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe, ceremony in London on October 26	Runner-up in 2025, now a leading 2026 contender	If he wins it he'd be the youngest ever, 19 years and 105 days, I've the calculator out already
7Kopa Trophy back to back	Two-time Kopa Trophy winner	Best young player in the world, won at ages 17 and 18	2 consecutive Kopa wins	A back-to-back streak before he could legally rent a car, says it all really
8Copa del Rey form	Goal and assist in Copa del Rey round of 16 vs Real Betis	Scored once and assisted in a 5-1 Barcelona win	4 straight wins with 5 goals in back-to-back games	Cups, league, country, doesn't matter, the output stays steady, I love consistency in a portfolio
9La Liga Player of the Season	Named La Liga Player of the Season 2025-26	Barcelona retained the league title with Yamal as the standout performer	16 goals, 11 assists in 28 league appearances that campaign	The underlying numbers back up the headline, which is honestly all I ever want from a report
