Liam Scales (Arklow via Shamrock Rovers via UCD, our own) just helped Celtic draw 2-2 with Dundee United off a goal, and it got me down a whole rabbit hole of Irish-at-Celtic nostalgia. So here's my list — half proper pub crawl, half fact-sheet for whoever at the table goes "wait, Scales played for WHO before Celtic?" (me, constantly, out loud, mid-pint). Not an exhaustive history, just the bits worth knowing and the pubs worth parking yourself in for the next match.
