These are the Chicago shows that get it right, get it wrong in a fun way, or just make me yell at the TV on a Wednesday night between trivia rounds. Yeah I included a medical drama, sue me, my wife loves it. Fight me at the bar.

2Chicago Fire	Chicago Fire	2012–present	Near West Side (Firehouse 51)	Dick Wolf prints money with this one. Union guys at the bar argue about the gear accuracy every single week.
3The Bear	The Bear	2022–present	River North	Stressful as a Sox bullpen in the ninth. But nails the kitchen chaos AND the accents. Respect.
4The Chi	The Chi	2018–present	South Side	Lena Waithe actually grew up here, you can tell. Not every block looks like a postcard and that's the point.
5Chicago P.D.	Chicago P.D.	2014–present	Near West Side (District 21)	Voight does whatever he wants and somehow still has a badge. I watch anyway, don't judge me.
6ER	ER	1994–2009	Near North Side (County General)	My wife's all-time favorite, made Clooney a star, and honestly still holds up. Don't @ me.
7The Good Wife	The Good Wife	2009–2016	The Loop	Lawyer shows usually bore me stiff but this one's sharp. Good trivia fodder too, surprisingly deep bench of episodes.
8Prison Break	Prison Break	2005–2017	Chicago and Joliet area	Ridiculous plot, tattoo map and all, but they shot real stuff around Joliet and that counts for something.
