Right, so the choir had a right chinwag about hurling versus this shinty business after that nail-biter down in Cork where Scotland nabbed it at the death — first time since 2019, would you believe. Got me thinking about our own Dublin spots where you can soak up the stick-and-ball spirit without leaving the city, and a few GAA landmarks the Shinty-Hurling International tradition grew out of. Breda from the altos insists she was at Croke Park for the very first international back in 1924, which I very much doubt given her knees, but anyway, that's my tuppence worth.

1GAA MuseumGAA MuseumCroke Park, Jones' Road, DrumcondraDublinGrand wee museum for a wet Tuesday, lots on hurling history including the shinty crossover, though don't let Breda near the interactive wall, she'll be there till closing.
