Wine bars I keep going back to

Okay, confession: half my Bernal Heights walks are secretly just excuses to end up somewhere with a glass of something red in my hand (the other half is dog-watching on the hill, let's be honest). I've been collecting these spots for years now, from my own backyard at VinoRosso to places way out past the Mission I only discovered because a castmate from my last community theater show dragged me along. Grab a friend, split a cheese board, and circle back to thank me later.

1VinoRossoBernal Heights629 Cortland Ave, San Francisco, CA 94110San FranciscoMy neighborhood go-to, literally five minutes from my apartment. Tiny, cozy, feels like someone's basement cellar in the best way. Perfect for a solo glass after a long PT shift.
2Komaaj Mazze Wine BarBernal Heights20 29th St, San Francisco, CA 94110San FranciscoOrder the mazze platter (it's enormous, bring friends) and let them pick your wine pairing. I've dragged half my cast here after rehearsal.
3Fat Cat & The MantisBernal Heights3215 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94114San FranciscoBright pink, impossible to miss on Mission, and the staff wine recs have never once steered me wrong. Go Friday through Monday for the pop-up dinner.
4Noeteca Wine BarBernal Heights3337 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94110San FranciscoSlightly dressier than my usual spots but worth it for a proper date night. The Beaujolais recommendation I got there is still living rent-free in my head.
