Okay so I am not even a huge sports person, not gonna lie, I mostly go for the vibes and the people-watching and whatever snack situation is happening in the concourse, but living in Pilsen means you're basically a short Pink Line hop from like four different stadiums and anyway, somewhere along the way I became That Friend who always has an extra ticket. These are the spots I keep dragging people to, between gallery openings and chasing bands around the city. Dress warm, the lake wind does not care about your plans.

Wrigley FieldWrigley Field (Cubs)1060 W Addison StChicagoRooftop views, ivy walls, the whole postcard thing. I always end up staying way later than planned, Wrigleyville will do that to you.
Rate FieldRate Field (White Sox)333 W 35th StChicagoRed Line drops you right at the gate which, honestly, is the real MVP. Cheaper beer than the other side of town too, just saying.
Soldier FieldSoldier Field (Bears, Fire FC)1410 Museum Campus DrChicagoWatching the Fire with the lake right there behind the goal is kind of unbeatable, anyway, bring layers, the wind off Michigan is no joke.
United CenterUnited Center (Bulls, Blackhawks)1901 W Madison StChicagoI'll admit I go more for whatever concert is passing through, but a Bulls game under those lights still gets me every time.
Lincoln Park running pathLakefront Trail, Lincoln ParkLincoln Park, 2045 N Lincoln Park WestChicagoNot a game but hear me out, watching the Chicago Marathon runners come through here every October genuinely gives me chills every single time.
McCormick Tribune Ice RinkMcCormick Tribune Ice Rink55 N Michigan AveChicagoAs a PT I probably shouldn't recommend an activity that ends in so many ankle sprains but, anyway, it's free and the skyline view is unreal.
st Street Beach volleyball courts31st Street Beach3100 S Lake Shore DrChicagoSummer evenings there's always a pickup volleyball game going, it's low key, friendly, and the sunset over the skyline doesn't hurt either.
