These are the bars I actually trust with a Tuesday night board game crew and a bum knee that needs a good chair. Good lighting for reading rulebooks, tables that don't wobble, bartenders who don't rush you off a six-way trade in Catan. Ranked the only way that matters: will this place still be standing after three hours of Wingspan. Anyway, more tea.

Holy Water309 Cortland AveSan FranciscoThis is home base for board game Tuesdays. Dim enough to feel cozy, bright enough to see your cards, and the patio out back takes the overflow when we run a big group.
Wild Side West424 Cortland AveSan FranciscoLike a deep stretch you didn't know you needed. The garden out back fixes whatever your week did to your shoulders, and the pool table's been loosening people up since the sixties.
The Lucky Horseshoe3453 Cortland AveSan FranciscoLive music nights here are a good test of your recovery pace. Start slow at the bar, work up to dancing. Don't skip the warm-up or you'll regret it at hour three.
El Rio3158 Mission StSan FranciscoThe patio's got range for days, drag shows to lazy Sunday afternoons. I come here when I want range of motion without a strict program, if that makes sense.
Virgil's Sea Room3152 Mission StSan FranciscoStrong drinks, cheap, cash only, and a patio with string lights that makes everyone feel like they're healing from something even if they aren't. Good overflow when El Rio's at capacity.
Barebottle Brewing Company1525 Cortland AveSan FranciscoBright, loud, kid-and-dog friendly on weekends. Not my game night pick but it's where I send people doing their first lap of the neighborhood, low barrier to entry.
Vinorosso629 Cortland AveSan FranciscoFor the nights that need a slower tempo. Italian wine, quiet corners, the kind of place you bring someone when you actually want to hear them talk.
Mothership3150 Mission StSan FranciscoPurple lights, big dance floor, right next to El Rio for when you want to switch gears. High intensity interval training, bar edition.
