I spend most evenings up on Bernal Hill with the dog, radio tucked in my jacket pocket, Giants game crackling in and out depending on the fog. But a man doesn't live on AM radio alone, so here's where I actually go to watch the games in person around town — ranked the way I'd rank a flight of Zin, by how much it makes me want to stay for one more.

1Oracle ParkOracle Park24 Willie Mays PlazaSan FranciscoHome base. I've watched more innings here than I've poured glasses of Zinfandel, and that's saying something. The garlic fries pair shockingly well with a cold Chardonnay smuggled in spirit only.
2McCovey Cove PortwalkMcCovey Cove Portwalk24 Willie Mays PlazaSan FranciscoFree baseball if you don't mind standing. I bring a thermos of something dark and brooding, lean on the rail, and watch for splash hits like I'm watching a barrel sample for color.
