The Welsh Champion Hurdle ran at Chepstow on Friday 9th October, moved to open the new three-day Welsh Racing Festival instead of its usual Sunday slot, and this is me working through it the way I work through everything, with a flask of tea at the snooker club and the telly in the corner. Pioneer Pete took it at 3/1, which is grand, but sure look, I was more interested in whether Bohs could keep a clean sheet than in any of this, so the two got tangled up in my head. Here's the lot of it, racing and football and the pubs you'd want either in.
Moved to the Friday this year, opening the whole festival. Pioneer Pete took it at 3/1. Good race, but sure look, I had the radio on low and one eye on Bohs.
