Pints worth the wait

A working list of the beers that have earned a permanent spot on my rotation, ranked by nothing scientific whatsoever (mostly vibes, foam retention and how much craic was had while drinking them). Compiled over many, many evenings between the office and a snug somewhere off Camden Street. Prices are what I paid last time, so add a euro for inflation, rent, and general Dublin cheek.

Guinness DraughtGuinness DraughtSt. James's Gate BreweryDry Stout4.2%The Long Hall51 South Great George's Street, Dublin 2Dublin€6.80Obvious, yes. Correct, also yes. Tastes different everywhere and don't let anyone tell you that's a myth, it isn't.
Beamish RedBeamish RedBeamish & CrawfordIrish Red Ale4.1%Mulligan's8 Poolbeg Street, Dublin 2Dublin€6.20Underrated. Sweeter than Guinness, less fuss made about it, which is exactly why I quietly rate it.
Smithwick's Pale AleSmithwick's Pale AleSmithwick's BreweryIrish Red Ale4.5%The Palace Bar21 Fleet Street, Dublin 2Dublin€6.40The pint you order when the place doesn't do the black stuff well. Reliable, never thrilling, like a work colleague you trust with deadlines.
Rye River Session IPASession IPARye River Brewing CompanySession IPA4.1%The Bull & Castle5-7 Lord Edward Street, Dublin 2Dublin€7.20Does the IPA thing (hoppy, a bit citrusy) without wrecking you after three, which at this stage in life I appreciate more than I'd like to admit.
Galway Bay Full SailFull SailGalway Bay BreweryGolden Ale4.7%The Beer Market8 Wexford Street, Dublin 2Dublin€7.00Easy drinking, faintly floral, the sort of pint that makes you agree to 'one more' far too readily.
Kinnegar RustbucketRustbucketKinnegar BrewingAmber Ale4.5%Against The Grain11 Wexford Street, Dublin 2Dublin€7.30All the way from Donegal for this. Malty, a bit toffee-ish, dangerously drinkable on a night that was meant to be 'just the one'.
Whiplash Rí RuaRí RuaWhiplash BrewingIrish Red Ale4.4%The Black Sheep61-62 Capel Street, Dublin 1Dublin€7.40Whiplash can do no wrong lately and this is proof, a proper modern take on the old red ale.
HeinekenHeinekenHeinekenLager5.0%Kehoe's9 South Anne Street, Dublin 2Dublin€6.60The pint you order when it's too hot for stout, which in Dublin is roughly four days a year, but I keep this here just in case.
