Places that sound right

Okay so between proofing loaves and flipping pinball flippers I spend an unreasonable amount of time chasing a good set — a place where the bass sits right or somebody's crushing an off-key power ballad at 1am. These are my current favorites around the city, the spots that feel like a perfect crumb: a little messy, totally alive, worth every crumb on the floor. Bottom of the Hill is on here because it still deserves to be, even with the sad news it's closing down this year — go while you still can!!
