Right so this isn't some craft beer influencer nonsense, it's just the pints that get me through essay crises and post-gig wobbles. Mix of proper boozers and a couple of taprooms I ended up in after a gig ran late and the last N38 was calling. Prices are doing that thing where they creep up every time I check tbh.

Name	Comment	Beer	Where I have it	Address	City
1Fuller's London Pride	Properly old school, the pub used to be an actual bank branch which is a fun fact I bring up too often. Pride tastes like Britain in a good way	Fuller's London Pride	The Old Bank of England	194 Fleet Street, London EC4A 2LT	London
2Guinness Draught	Tiny pub, mad atmosphere, allegedly one of the better pours in London and honestly I believe it. The settle takes ages but that's the whole point	Guinness Draught	The Auld Shillelagh	105 Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 0UD	London
3Timothy Taylor's Landlord	Cask ale royalty tbh. Tiny pub near Covent Garden that gets rammed but somehow always worth the squeeze in	Timothy Taylor's Landlord	The Harp	47 Chandos Place, London WC2N 4HS	London
4Anspach & Hobday The Deep South Stout	Under the railway arches near Bermondsey, feels like drinking in a nice cave. Stout's dangerously smooth, budget accordingly	Anspach & Hobday The Deep South Stout	Anspach & Hobday Arch Taproom	118 Druid Street, London SE1 2HH	London
5Redemption Trinity	No lager, no lout, just cash and ale says the sign, which is objectively a great policy. Cosy after a walk on the Heath	Redemption Trinity	The Southampton Arms	139 Highgate Road, London NW5 1LE	London
6Five Points Best	Hackney brewery, proper bitter, does the job before or after a gig at one of the nearby venues. Cheap enough that essays feel less painful	Five Points Best	The Pembury Tavern	90 Amhurst Road, London E8 1JH	London
7Draught Bass	Proper old boozer near Borough, feels like stepping back a few decades. Good spot to sit with a pint and pretend you're not behind on reading	Draught Bass	The Royal Oak	44 Tabard Street, London SE1 4JU	London
