Obsessed, no notes, with the Great Court on a rainy Tuesday (go early, it gets RAMMED by 11am)!! Everyone crowds the Rosetta Stone but I always drift off to the Enlightenment Gallery instead.
Turbine Hall is basically my happy place, especially at golden hour!! The free collection displays on levels 2 and 4 are chef's kiss for a quick lunchtime wander when I'm meant to be working.
Trafalgar Square on a late-opening evening, basically empty, is genuinely iconic!! I could stand in the Sainsbury Wing Renaissance rooms for hours, no notes.
The Cast Courts make me feel medium-sized, which I respect (in a good way)!! The fashion galleries are an actual serotonin boost, I go whenever I need cheering up.
Less queue-y than its Bankside sibling and I love it for that (sorry Tate Modern)!! The Rex Whistler mural in the restaurant is wild, go look even if you're not eating.
Candlelit evening openings are the most romantic-but-make-it-academic thing London does, no notes!! Book ahead, this place is TINY and precious and completely worth planning around.
East End energy, brilliant contemporary shows, and I always end up in the bookshop for way too long!! Free entry too, which on a junior curator budget I deeply appreciate.
The aquarium and that overwhelming taxidermy walrus, need I say more?? Free entry, South London royalty, I bring every visiting friend here to show off.
