ngl this is the running list I text to friends when they ask where to eat around JP and beyond dry Tuesday book club, a Sox game with cheap seats, or a wine bar night that turns into three glasses these are the spots I keep going back to, lowkey because the staff already knows my order as always I'm signing off each one with exactly what to get so you don't have to think about it

Ten Tables597 Centre St, Boston, MA 02130BostonTiny, candlelit, and somehow always exactly what I need after a long week at the lab. Get the duck if it's on the seasonal menu, ngl it's worth the walk from the T.
El Oriental de Cuba416 Centre St, Boston, MA 02130BostonMy go-to for a cheap, loud, happy dinner before book club. The cubano is the move, lowkey life-changing with a side of plantains.
JP Seafood Cafe730 Centre St, Boston, MA 02130BostonUnassuming strip-mall vibes outside, genuinely great sushi inside. Order the spicy tuna roll and thank me later.
Coppa253 Shawmut Ave, Boston, MA 02118BostonSmall plates, big flavor, the kind of wine bar energy that turns a quick drink into a three-hour hang. Order the porchetta, no debate.
