If you’re a medic or biomed in Manny and not just here for the £2 Jägerbombs, these are the spots that genuinely keep me mad for it about medicine. Bit of history, bit of gore, couple of very useful pharmacies-doctors-vibes for when Fallowfield freshers’ flu hits you like Haaland in the box. Some are pure nerd heaven, some are just where I drag my sniffly mates— all of them are sound.
Whole Oxford Road campus feels like medicine HQ, but MRI is the beating heart. First time I walked up from Fallowfield past all the blue signs I properly felt like, oh right, this degree is real now.
Eye clinics, ophthalmology nerding, very specific placements
Tucked on the same site as MRI, it’s like the cool eye-obsessed cousin. Makes me want to learn fundoscopy properly instead of pretending I can see anything except vibes.
Seeing real-world dentistry, maxfax crossover, cheap-ish student dental care
You turn the corner from Oxford Road and boom, full mouth-central. Every time I pass I reconsider if I picked the wrong course because the drills sound kind of fun in a chaotic way.

Anatomy-adjacent dinosaurs, evolution, chill study breaks between labs
Yeah it’s ‘dinosaurs and mummies’, but also big evolution energy and biology context. I nip in between lectures to stare at skeletons and remind myself biomed isn’t just pipetting sadness.
Revising like a Victorian medic, history of science reading
Looks like Hogwarts, smells like old books, somehow makes revising immunology feel deep and poetic. Long way from Fallowfield but the vibes are absolutely worth the bus.
