LIV Golf is apparently back in the rough — reports this week say the breakaway tour's relaunch has collapsed after lead investor BC Partners walked away, leaving the Saudi-backed project staring at liquidation. Feels like watching a leveraged buyout implode in real time, except with worse trousers. While the suits argue over a bankruptcy filing nobody will read properly, I went looking for proof that actual, honest golf still exists around Dublin — the kind played for a few quid and a pint, not private equity. Here's where I'd rather be on a Saturday than reading another LIV press release.

1Portmarnock Golf ClubPortmarnock Golf ClubGolf Links Rd, Portmarnock, Co. DublinDublinFounded 1894, ranked among the best links on earth, and still somehow less dramatic than LIV's balance sheet.
2Royal Dublin Golf ClubRoyal Dublin Golf ClubNorth Bull Island, Dollymount, Dublin 3DublinSecond oldest club in Ireland, founded 1885. No bankruptcy hearings on the calendar here, just wind off Bull Island.
3The Island Golf ClubThe Island Golf ClubCorballis, Donabate, Co. DublinDublinBoat-only access until 1973, which is a more honest origin story than any 'LIV 2.0' pitch deck.
