Hyde Park Wine Haunts

Shelved here like a well-loved reference collection: the bottle shops and glass-in-hand rooms I return to between library shifts, book club arguments, and the occasional Sunday jazz brunch. None of these are rare-vintage shrines — they're places where the person pouring will talk to you about Chianti or Coltrane with equal patience, which, if you ask me, is the whole point of drinking wine in a neighborhood instead of a cellar.
