Justin Timberlake’s everywhere again this week – that clip of him laughing and apologising for his 2000s beatboxing phase has been doing the rounds, and suddenly we’re all remembering just how many tunes he’s got and how many sound wizards helped shape them. So here’s my little JT-adjacent cheat sheet: the musicians I stick on when I’m stomping down Oldham Street to a gig, the collaborators who made SexyBack sound proper space‑age, and the voices that sit nicely next to him on a rainy tram ride home with a takeaway soup. It’s not deep music journalism, it’s just the gang I reach for when I’ve fallen back down the Timberlake rabbit hole. Sound, that.
