Not bedside reading exactly, but these are the ones I keep citing at journal club or defending at 2am to a tired resident. Mix of foundational stuff and a couple newer ones that actually changed how I check an order. Ranked by how often I still think about them, not by impact factor, which is a made up number anyway.

To Err Is Human: Building a Safer Health SystemMedical error epidemiology1999Institute of MedicineThe report that started the whole patient safety industry. Still gets misquoted constantly.
Bates et al., Incidence of Adverse Drug Events and Potential Adverse Drug EventsAdverse drug events1995JAMAOld, but the methodology still holds up. Most ADE studies since are footnotes to this one.
Leape et al., Systems Analysis of Adverse Drug EventsSystems errors in drug ordering1995JAMACompanion piece to the Bates paper. Together they basically built the case for clinical pharmacists on rounds.
Koppel et al., Role of Computerized Physician Order Entry Systems in Facilitating Medication ErrorsCPOE and new error types2005JAMAThe paper everyone cites when the new order entry system does something baffling. Vindicating, in a grim way.
