Not a syllabus, just the ones I actually finished and still think about mid-pick-and-roll. Weighted toward stuff that makes you better at building things or reading a defense — systems thinking, clean writing, no filler chapters. Ranked by how often I recommend them unprompted, which for a PM is basically a KPI.

Thinking, Fast and SlowThinking, Fast and SlowDaniel KahnemanBehavioral SciencePaperback~10 hoursHighProduct decisionsExplains why your roadmap gut-calls are usually wrong. Dense in the middle, worth pushing through anyway.
The Design of Everyday ThingsThe Design of Everyday ThingsDon NormanDesignPaperback~7 hoursMediumUX reviewsEvery bad door handle in your life becomes personal after this. Basically the pick-and-roll manual for interfaces — simple, efficient, no wasted motion.
Shoe DogShoe DogPhil KnightMemoirHardcover~9 hoursHighBeach morningsRead most of it on Miami Beach at sunrise, which felt appropriate. Chaotic founder energy, but the hustle reads honest, not performative.
SapiensSapiensYuval Noah HarariHistoryPaperback~12 hoursMediumLong flightsZooms out so far you forget your Jira backlog exists for a few hours. Good travel-tech-brain reset.
Continuous Discovery HabitsContinuous Discovery HabitsTeresa TorresProduct ManagementPaperback~6 hoursHighWorkThe one I actually annotate. Opportunity-solution trees are the assist, not the highlight-reel dunk — unglamorous but they win games.
The Score Takes Care of ItselfThe Score Takes Care of ItselfBill WalshLeadershipHardcover~5 hoursHighTeam standupsFootball coach, but every principle maps to running a pickup game or a sprint review. Standard of Performance over vibes, every time.
The Pragmatic ProgrammerThe Pragmatic ProgrammerDavid Thomas and Andrew HuntSoftware EngineeringPaperback~8 hoursMediumTalking to engineersNot a PM book, but helps you stop asking dumb questions in standup. DRY principle, applied to basketball, is just: don't run the same broken play twice.
