I don’t own a car (lol, Brooklyn rent), but my brain is basically a rotating tab of spec sheets and Nürburgring lap times. These are the spots I sneak off to when the subway is late, my YouTube queue is all watch‑again, and I just need to stare at sheet metal or rolling stock IRL. Think of it as my little loop of car-adjacent escapes, from Midtown fantasy shopping to actually sending it in a kart, with a couple of nerd detours for books and trains because I can’t help myself.

I’m not a member (product manager salary, hi), but anytime I luck into an event invite I treat it like c

I burn a PTO day, line up early, and treat the whole Javits floor like a very chaotic museum. Concepts, weird EV startups, base-model sedans that will absolutely be Ubering us home in two years—it’s all here. Pro tip: bring snacks and

It’s like stepping into a time capsule garage for the entire city’s transit system. I wander through the vintage trains imagining which one my grandparents probably fell aslee

Up the steps past the lions, find a quiet table, and suddenly I’m three chapters into a history of Group B rally cars instead of the product doc I was ‘totally going to finish after work.’ Bring
5The Shops & Public Square at Hudson YardsMall and plaza that often hosts car displays and events20 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001New York, NY, United StatesRandom supercar displays and people-watching around VesselHudson Yards is…a whole thing. But every so often there’s a pop-up display—Ferraris around Vessel, a Porsche showcase, some EV launch—and it turns into an outdoor car gallery. I walk up the High Line from Chelsea, pop out here, do a slow lap, then grab a
