I pretend I’m leaving the lab “to clear my head,” but we all know I’m chasing barrel-aged data. This is my short list of spots that actually care about what’s in the glass — from Eastie taverns with fried things and feelings to Kendall bottle shops that will happily talk yeast strains until last call. Expect big American lists, quietly flexing Scotch lineups, and at least one place where you can contemplate life (and the Sox bullpen) over something older than most rookies.
