Been in Manc five minutes and somehow my entire personality is now: lectures, late buses and making sure I’ve got a decent spot for kick‑off. These are the places I actually end up when I’m mad for it – whether that’s chanting myself hoarse at the Etihad, having a kickabout in Fallowfield, or sinking cheap pints while pretending I don’t have a lab report due. Proper mixed bag of stadiums, parks and sports bars, all sound in their own way.

Walk up Joe Mercer Way with everyone in sky blue and it just hits different – even if my student loan is crying over the ticket prices.

3BOX Deansgate125 Deansgate, Manchester M3 2BYManchesterBig sports bar, loads of screens, loud matchday atmosphereWatching Super Sunday when you want it on every screen and a plate of wingsLike being inside Soccer Saturday’s brain. Can get hectic, but if you want wall‑to‑wall football and don’t mind shouting your order, this is the move.
