These are the spots that basically mapped my sports life here — from nosebleeds at the Garden to minor-league sunsets at Coney. It’s a mix of arenas, parks, and one very clutch bar, all reachable without owning a car (shoutout to the MTA, I guess). If you’re the type who keeps the game on your phone even when you’re already at a game… yeah, you’ll be fine here.

I always get a little goosebumpy on the escalator up, even if it’s just a random Tuesday Knicks loss.

Grab the 4 train and pretend you’re not checking your fantasy team between innings.

Get there early, do a loop of the concourse, then park yourself somewhere you can see both the game and planes landing at LaGuardia.
5Maimonides Park	1904 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11224	Brooklyn, NY	Minor league baseball	Boardwalk casual, very family, ocean breeze	Coney Island–Stillwell Av (D F N Q)	Perfect summer evening move: beach, boardwalk food, then cheap seats with a ridiculous view of the Cyclone and the ocean. Feels like a baseball postcard someone forgot to update to 2026.
6McMahon’s Public House	39 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217	Brooklyn, NY	Whatever’s on: soccer, NFL, hoops	Irish pub meets legit watch-party hub	Bergen St (2 3) or Atlantic Av–Barclays Ctr (multiple lines)	My default ‘I want the game on but also actual conversation’ bar. Good screens, proper sound for big matches, and close enough to Barclays that you can pregame here and still make tipoff.
