So Hannah Fry turns up on The Celebrity Traitors (recruited as a Traitor in episode three, no less, which — the betrayal) and I spiralled into a full maths-nerd-crush rabbit hole instead of doing actual work. Turns out the woman who wrote the algorithm for love has basically colonised my bookshelf and my browser history. This is my very unhinged, very Dublin tribute list — half book club, half true crime podcast, ALL avoidance of my own novel deadline. Pints were involved.

1The Mathematics of Love (book)Her first book, on dating algorithms and divorce oddsRead this in one sitting on the DART and missed my stop. Worth it (the missing the stop, not just the book).
2The Celebrity Traitors (series 2)She's recruited as a Traitor in episode three — betrayal of the FAITHFULS varietyShe went in with spreadsheets and a Turing-inspired plan and still got turned. Maths doesn't save you from Claudia Winkleman's castle, apparently.
3Alan Hanna's BookshopRathmines bookshop that actually stocks her booksFound The Mathematics of Love wedged between gardening and true crime. Felt like fate (or just good shelving).
