Julie Hesmondhalgh just scooped the first ever Great British Theatres Lifetime Achievement Award for her Oldham Coliseum campaigning, which is a fair enough reason to send me down a Corrie-and-telly rabbit hole on a Thursday night. I'm no drama critic, I watch rucks for a living, but credit where it's due "? consistency over twenty-odd years is basically the Johnny Sexton of acting careers. Here's the stuff of hers worth your couch time, ranked like I'd rank a backline.

Name	Title	Role	Verdict
1Happy Valley	Happy Valley	Supporting cast	Grim, Yorkshire, unflinching. Watched it with a pint and still felt cold after.
2The Celebrity Traitors	The Celebrity Traitors	Contestant, series 2	Reality telly as tactics class. She read the room better than most out-halves read a defence.
3Coronation Street	Coronation Street	Hayley Cropper	Sixteen years in the same jersey. That's loyalty you don't see outside Munster front rows.
4Broadchurch	Broadchurch	Maggie Radcliffe	Small part, big impact, like a well-timed sub who changes the whole second half.
