Most weekends I’m either chasing a freight problem on my phone or chasing a box score in person. These are the spots I actually reroute my day around—big stadiums, weird little shrines, and a bowling alley that smells like every birthday party you’ve ever been to. If you’re looking for a place to yell at a ref, high‑five strangers, or just nurse a beer while the late game drags into overtime, this is where I end up. Bonus: every one of these has decent bathrooms and at least one snack I’d happily eat in a parking lot.

I’ve whiffed so hard here I could feel my ancestors judging my hand‑eye coordination.
4Whiskey Girl Tavern6318 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60660ChicagoWomen’s sports–forward barBig women’s games and queer‑friendly hangsIf there’s a major women’s game on, this is where I want to be—screens everywhere, people actually locked in on the play, and cocktails that don’t taste like sugar syrup. I once watched a whole bar lose its mind over a WNBA buzzer‑beater here; it felt lik
