A guy off Rye Harbor hauls in a 1,116-pound bluefin and suddenly everybody at the lab wants to talk fishing weigh-ins instead of case loads. Fine, I get it \u2014 a weight that big is basically a differential diagnosis for \"how is that even possible.\" So I built a list of Chicago sports stuff that scales with big-number energy: records, tonnage, and the kind of numbers you circle twice before you believe them. Near West Side guy, Sox and Bulls on the weekend, box scores before coffee.
