Where I end up when I’m not on the Green Line heading to watch the Sox practice radical acceptance of losing. This is the version of Chicago you see through a badge lanyard: ICUs, lecture halls, rehab gyms, queer clinics, and one lakeside house full of bone saws. Not a tourist list. More like a call schedule with better lighting.

2Northwestern Memorial Hospital	251 E Huron St, Chicago, IL 60611	Chicago	Streeterville showpiece. Glossy, vertical, full of magazines that still spell "dyspnea" wrong in the waiting rooms.
3Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago	225 E Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60611	Chicago	Peds palace. Tiny humans, huge ventilators. Where you’re reminded that stickers and good child life can drop a heart rate faster than any beta-blocker.
4International Museum of Surgical Science	1524 N Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60610	Chicago	Gold Coast mansion full of scalpels and hubris. Good reminder that for most of history, "procedure consent" was just shouting louder.
5Malcolm X College	1900 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60612	Chicago	Pipeline for half the techs and nurses I work with. Skills labs, pre-req panic, and the occasional student who already knows more vent settings than a PGY-1.
6Howard Brown Health Halsted	3245 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60657	Chicago	Lakeview clinic doing the work: PrEP, hormones, primary care without side-eye. Proof that affirming care is a vital sign, even if Epic doesn’t have a field for it.
