- Neighborhood
- Greenwich Village, Manhattan
- Primary Sport
- Streetball
- Typical Crowd
- Local hoopers, students, tourists glued to the fence
- Best Time
- Warm-weather late afternoons and early evenings
- Tickets / Access
- Public courts; just walk up
- Noise Level
- Constant trash talk, subway rumble, car horns
- Architecture / Setting
- Tight chain-link cage wedged into a crooked corner of the Village
- My take
- It’s a tiny court that feels like a theater. The fence is basically the mezzanine, and every clean jumper sounds different off the backboard, the brick, and the passing F train.
