MLB 154 game season proposal

ok so MLB just dropped this whole plan to shrink the season back to 154 games (iconic, very 1961-coded) plus best-of-seven Division Series and a weekly off day — announced October 8 while the playoffs are still going, part of the bigger CBA fight with the union. anyway i don't actually watch stats, i watch PEOPLE watching stats. so this is a loanDepot park season, the stadium where all this future-of-the-game drama will or won't actually play out starting 2029 (if the players even agree, which. lol). these are the spots around Marlins games that feel like the proposal in human form — fewer games, same chaos, more room to breathe between innings.
