Some people collect stamps. I collect places that will serve me a dangerously good G&T when a sprint review goes sideways or Leinster forgets how to catch. This is my current rotation of Dublin gin haunts – from full-on gin temples to hotel bars where the martini glass arrives colder than my ex’s texts. Expect Irish gins wherever I can strong-arm the menu, the odd rooftop flex, and at least one spot where you’ll definitely spill something on your jersey.

3Rooftop Bar & Terrace, Anantara The Marker	Grand Canal Square, Docklands, Dublin 2, D02 CK38	Dublin	Pricey, yes, but you’re paying for Docklands views and feeling like you’ve finally escaped the Jira board. Ideal for a sunset gin when the canal breeze isn’t trying to yeet your umbrella.
4Bar 1661	1–5 Green Street, Dublin 7, D07 YT6H	Dublin	Technically a poitín temple, but the cocktails lean hard into Irish spirits, gin included. This is where I go when I want something inventive and I trust literally no one… except the bartenders.
5The Temple Bar Pub	47–48 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, D02 N725	Dublin	Yes it’s tourist central, yes the pints are spenny, but the gin cocktails are solid and the people-watching is ELITE. Bring visiting friends, blame them, enjoy your pink gin in peace.
6The Spencer Cocktail Bar	The Spencer Hotel, Excise Walk, IFSC, Dublin 1, D01 X4C9	Dublin	Glass box over the Liffey with a cocktail list that actually respects gin. Feels like half the Docklands product teams are in here doing ‘informal retros’ over G&Ts.
7The Botanical Garden Bar	13–14 Liberty Lane, Portobello, Dublin 8, D08 NF86	Dublin	Outdoor fairy-light situation with serious gin energy. Great on a rare dry evening when you want something botanical in the glass and maybe on your shoes.
89 Below	9 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2, D02 C891	Dublin	Speakeasy vibes, plush seats, and martinis so crisp they could cut you. This is my ‘one perfect gin drink, then go home before chaos’ spot.
