TheLysts: Child Safety & Content Standards

Applies to: TheLysts: Create & Share Lists ("TheLysts"), including all user-generated content (lists, items, images, videos, comments, messages) and activity on our platform.

Our commitment: TheLysts has zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We prohibit, remove, and report any content or behavior that sexualizes, harms, endangers, or exploits children.

1) Definitions

Child / Minor: Any person under 18 years old.

CSAE: Any sexual abuse, exploitation, or sexualization of a child, including creation, distribution, possession, solicitation, or viewing of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), grooming, sexual extortion ("sextortion"), trafficking, or facilitation thereof.

CSAM: Any image, video, text, audio, or generated media (including AI-generated or "synthetic" content) that depicts or sexualizes a minor, whether real or fictionalized as a minor.

2) What is strictly prohibited

The following are not allowed anywhere on TheLysts (including links, emojis, hashtags, "coded" terms, watermarks, or external storage links intended to share such material):

  • CSAM in any form (real, edited, drawn, AI-generated/synthetic, deepfake, or "age-regressed" content presented as minors).
  • Sexualization of minors (e.g., partial or full nudity of minors; fetishization; sexualized poses; descriptions of sexual acts involving minors; sexual role-play implying a minor).
  • Grooming or solicitation of minors (romantic/sexual advances, requests for explicit images, attempts to move conversations to private channels for sexual purposes).
  • Sextortion, trafficking, or facilitation of exploitation (offers, requests, instructions, or services).
  • Age misrepresentation to access adult content or contact minors.
  • Instructions for producing, hiding, exchanging, or monetizing CSAE/CSAM.
  • Revenge porn or non-consensual intimate imagery involving any person under 18.
  • Doctored ages (e.g., changing or implying a minor's age to sexualize them).

⚠️ Warning: We remove content and suspend/ban accounts on first offense. Where legally required or appropriate, we report to law enforcement and relevant hotlines (e.g., NCMEC in the U.S.) and preserve evidence.

3) Additional protections for minors

  • No adult–minor dating or sexual themes.
  • No doxxing or sharing private info of minors (addresses, school schedules, contact details).
  • No dangerous challenges or self-harm encouragement targeting minors.
  • No harassment, bullying, or hate directed at minors.

4) AI / synthetic media

  • AI-generated, edited, or "age-regressed" media that depicts or sexualizes minors is forbidden.
  • Presenting adults as if they were minors (e.g., "teen," "underage," "schoolgirl/boy" framing) is not allowed when sexualized.

5) Reporting & how we respond

What happens next:

  • We review promptly and may remove content, restrict features, suspend/ban accounts, and preserve data.
  • We may escalate to law enforcement and relevant hotlines (e.g., NCMEC) and cooperate fully with investigations.
  • For imminent danger, contact local authorities immediately before reporting to us.

6) Enforcement

  • Immediate removal of violating content and account actions up to permanent ban.
  • Repeat or egregious violations → permanent removal, device/account blocking, and reporting to authorities.
  • We may limit features for accounts interacting with minors in risky ways (e.g., messaging restrictions).
  • Appeals: You can appeal moderation decisions by replying to our notice or emailing appeals@thelysts.com.

7) Age requirements & parental guidance

  • TheLysts is intended for users 13+ (or the minimum age required by local law).
  • Users under the age of majority (18) must have parental consent where required.
  • We may apply age-appropriate experiences (reduced discoverability, stricter privacy defaults, feature gating).

8) Privacy & data for minors

  • We design features to minimize data collection from minors.
  • We do not sell personal data of minors.

We may update these standards to improve safety or reflect new laws/risks. The latest version will always be available at this page and will apply to your continued use of TheLysts.
