- Person
- Julie Hesmondhalgh
- Connection to Julie
- The centre of the whole web; actor, narrator, activist.
- Where they crossed my radar
- Coronation Street years ago, then Punch in the West End and her keynote chatter about arts and access.
- Why they matter
- Olivier-winning supporting actor who can swing from political theatre to popular TV and still sound genuinely curious, not grand.
- My take
- Feels like the rare ‘blue-chip’ actor who still behaves like a scrappy growth stock – keeps taking interesting, slightly risky projects instead of coasting.
