- Key themes
- Duality, war, identity, guilt
- Sports adjacent
- Only in the sense of divided loyalties and blown coverages of the soul.
- Bathtub commitment
- One very long soak where you keep topping up the hot water, then another to recover.
- My take
- Reads like someone took a war novel, spy thriller, and theory seminar, then ran them through a blender labeled ‘conscience.’ Dark, clever, and mean in the right ways.
- Best read during
- A late-night bath after a shift when your brain still wants to fight about everything.
