- Address
- 225 E Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60611
- City
- Chicago
- Focus
- Pediatric acute care hospital, from neonates to teenagers, big on complex kids
- Noise level
- Less ventilator roar than you’d think; more intermittent 90 dB crying and cartoons
- My take
- Everything is scaled down except the medicine and the emotions. You adjust your dosing to mg/kg, your language to 8‑year‑old, and your coffee to double. The fact that they can run ECMO and still have stickers everywhere is kind of heroic.
