Pulled 3 all-nighters this rotation and the only thing keeping me upright is my Scott Speedman rewatch queue. Dude's back on ABC as R.J. Decker and it's the first time he's actually led a show, which feels overdue after two decades of being the best supporting guy in everything. Ranked by what actually got me through night shift, not by Rotten Tomatoes, because I don't trust critics who've slept 8 hours. 49ers still haven't won it since '94 btw, pain is a pattern.

Scott Speedman roles that got me through med school — 5 items
Name	Role	My take
1R.J. Decker (R.J. Decker, 2026)	Disgraced photographer turned PI, South Florida	First time he's the actual lead and it shows, carries every scene like a vet point guard carrying a bad roster
2Michael Corvin (Underworld, 2003)	Werewolf-vampire hybrid caught in a war	Peak early-2000s action goth, I still quote this during slow ER shifts
3Deran Cody (Animal Kingdom, 2016)	Surfer-criminal brother, family crime saga	Most layered thing he's done, binged this between finals week like it was a second job
4Daniel Charles (Last Resort, 2012)	Submarine officer drama, one season wonder	Underrated cancellation, this show deserved a second season more than some teams deserve a playoff spot
5Tom (Citizen Gangster, 2011)	Supporting role, Canadian crime drama	Niche pick, but it's the one I show people who think he's only a heartthrob
