These are the pints and cans that keep following me home around Dublin. Some are default orders, some are "I’ve had a day" treats, and one or two are there for when I really should be on my best behaviour. Not a full beer education, just the ones that have earned repeat business from my wallet (contactless, obviously).

Guinness DraughtIrish dry stout, nitroAny pub that looks like it’s been there longer than my grandparentsBaseline stout. If they pour this well, you can trust the rest of the taps and probably the roasties too.
Guinness 0.0Non-alcoholic stoutBigger pubs and spots that shout about “drivers welcome” on the menuMy midweek stout cosplay. Feels like getting away with something when you’ve an early stand-up the next morning.
Hop House 13Hoppy lagerBusy city-centre pubs when I’m not in a stout moodEasy pint for when you want ‘a beer’ but don’t want to hold an opinion about IBUs all night.
O’Hara’s Irish StoutIrish dry stoutCraft-leaning pubs with a soft spot for CarlowLike Guinness’ slightly moodier cousin. A bit more roast, a bit more edge, still very sessionable.
Whiplash RolloverSession IPABars with proper Irish craft fridges or Whiplash on the chalkboardThe ‘I’ll just have one more and still catch the Luas’ IPA. Dangerous how drinkable it is for something that hoppy.
Galway Bay Of Foam And FuryDouble IPAGalway Bay bars when I’ve already eaten and made peace with tomorrowBig, fruity, and not remotely subtle. This is a treat-yourself pint, not a ‘sure I’ll sip it with lunch’ situation.
The White Hag Little FawnSession IPAPlaces that list Irish breweries on the board instead of just countriesMy sunny-evening beer. Enough hop bite to be interesting, light enough that you still read your book on the way home.
Smithwick’s Red AleIrish red aleTraditional pubs where the craftiest thing on is ‘the cider’My compromise order when everyone else is on lager. Malty, gentle, and very forgiving of terrible pub band covers.
